Kitchen Help / Front End

Falcon Camp Services is currently looking to hire a Kitchen Help/Front End person. This person is responsible for assisting other kitchen staff with food preparation, clean up, dishes, and front-end dining room service. The incumbent will report to the Chef and Camp Manager and will work with kitchen staff to continually improve guest satisfaction while maintaining inventory and sanitation levels and provide kitchen maintenance and cleaning

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Keeps work station clean and organized including fridges/freezers and counter/table tops.
  • Assists with putting away groceries
  • Empty garbage cans and take out trash.
  • Ensures that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard.
  • Keeps overproduction and food waste to a minimum to reduce food cost expense.
  • Will always operate all kitchen equipment and conduct themselves with safety in mind.
  • Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with HACCP and government Food Safety guidelines.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the dining room, including all service areas.
  • Ensures all front-end dining room items are freshly stocked and available for guests.
  • Reports all deficiencies in kitchen equipment functionality and quality of food products to chef in a timely fashion.
  • Complies with all safety regulations of assigned tasks and ensures a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program.
  • Adheres to all health, safety and environmental policies and programs as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Physically fit & healthy for frequent standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting 50lbs.

Qualifications & Certification

  • Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test required.
  • 1+ year's food service experience preferably in a remote camp environment.
  • Food Safe Level 1.
  • A strong commitment to safety and safe work practice.
  • Petroleum Safety Training or Construction Safety Training System.
  • WHMIS and OFA Level 1 (preferred).
